Welcome to the Global State of the Family Index, an international, centralized database on family health and well-being maintained by the Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Development.

Our data collection consists of family health indicators such as infant mortality, maternal mortality, migration, marriage, divorce, educational attainment, family economics and more, which have been compiled from sources such as United Nations, World Health Organization and others. Because numeric data serve as a universal metric, the standardization and presentation of these cross-national indicators of family health and well-being is aimed at assisting researchers, policy-makers, and all advocates of the family as the natural and fundamental group unit of society.

Among other statistical methods, the Global State of the Family Index standardizes all data using the latest ISO conventions to compare otherwise incompatible data.
